This will be their second time working with Robert Eggers after Nosferatu. Rumour has it that they will play a husband and wife, which is funny considering that their characters in Nosferatu didn't get along at all:

It has been announced that Robert Eggers will direct a new adaptation of A Christmas Carol for Warner Bros. It is not set in stone yet, but Willem Dafoe is the frontrunner to portray Ebenezer Scrooge.

Robert Eggers To Direct 'Christmas Carol' Movie, Eyes Willem Dafoe

This literally just came to me, but it would be interesting to see Robert Eggers' take on the war between the Spanish Conquistadors and the Aztecs.

I could see it being similar to The Northman.

I'll be honest, of all the people who I would've picked to film a second Labyrinth movie, Robert Eggers wasn't really on my list.

I'm kind of scared to see what he's going to do with it. Considering the overall style of his other films so far. But I'm also kind of intrigued. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Nosferatu has been nominated in four categories at the 97th Academy Awards. It is up for Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Costume Design and Best Makeup and Hairstyling.

This is probably my overactive mind working but I pay attention to little details like this in movies and such but spoilers if you saw the movie you will see orlok at one point is being fed on by maggots cause of his rotting flesh, well it made me wonder maybe those maggots drank some of his blood as well and eventually get consumed by spiders that become consumed by other animals that reach to humans and the vampires get made again cause unless I missed a reference to another vampire, then by the end after orlok died, we are to presume the vampire race is extinct but maybe through these maggots the virus will spread and more vamps could get made, not that we will probably see it but its still interesting to think about.

Christmas came early for me. Last week I won a competition to attend an advanced screening of Nosferatu and tonight I saw it.

Robert Eggers is my favourite director to emerge in the last decade and I'm happy to say that he has knocked it out of the park again. He has honoured previous versions of this tale while also putting his own unique spin on it. It delivers on every level, be it the cinematography, the production design, the costume design, the sound design and the score.

The performances are excellent all around (especially Lily-Rose Depp, my God) and Bill Skarsgård is terrifying and beyond unrecognisable as Count Orlok. If I hadn't known that was him going in, I never would have guessed.

If you have even a passing interest in horror, you need to go and see this when it goes on general release.
