On 23 January, 2025, Deadline reported that Robert Eggers had signed on to direct a sequel to Jim Henson's Jim Henson and would write the script with Sjón. Chris Columbus, Eleanor Columbus and Lisa Henson were announced as producers, with Brian Henson as executive producer and TriStar Pictures providing financing and distribution.[1]
